How do I rent items?
Browse our available inventory on the website and when you’re ready, just add it to your cart and checkout! We’ll be in touch within 24 hours to get everything ready for you.
What areas do you serve?
We currently offer pickup only from our location in Vineyard, Utah. All items must be picked up and returned by the renter.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance for best availability, especially during peak wedding and event seasons (spring through fall). Last-minute rentals may be available depending on inventory. You can book up to a year in advance.
Rental Terms & Policies
Booking & Payment
- A signed rental agreement and security deposit are required to confirm all bookings
- Full payment is due 48 hours before pickup unless other arrangements are made
- Prices listed are subject to change and will be confirmed at time of booking
- Cancellations made 7+ days before pickup receive full refund minus 10% processing fee
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before pickup forfeit 50% of rental fee
Security Deposits
- A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals
- Deposit amounts vary by item type and rental value
- Deposits are fully refundable within 7-10 business days after item return, provided items are returned in original condition
- Any damages or missing items will be deducted from your deposit (see Damage Policy below)
Pickup & Return
- Pickup Location: Vineyard, Utah (exact address provided upon booking)
- Items must be picked up on the agreed date and time
- Late pickup may result in additional fees
- All items must be returned clean and in the same condition as received
- Return inspections will be conducted at time of drop-off
“Oops, I Broke Something” – Damage Policy
We get it – accidents happen! Events can be hectic, and sometimes things get damaged despite everyone’s best efforts. We understand that breakage is an occasional reality of event rentals, and we don’t want you to stress about it.
Here’s how we handle damages:
- Each item listing includes a “replacement cost” clearly stated
- If an item is damaged beyond repair or goes missing, the replacement cost will be deducted from your refundable security deposit
- Minor damages (small chips, scratches, etc.) that don’t affect functionality may incur charges
- We’ll assess all damages fairly and communicate any deductions before processing your deposit refund
- You’ll receive a detailed breakdown of any charges applied
Please notify us immediately if damage occurs – this helps us plan for our next rental and shows good faith on your part.
Item Care & Usage
- Items are for decorative/display use only unless specifically noted otherwise
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on rented items
- Handle glass and fragile items with appropriate care
- Outdoor-rated items only should be used outside
- Do not modify, alter, or paint rental items
Weather & Outdoor Events
- Client is responsible for protecting items from weather damage
- Bring items indoors or provide adequate coverage during inclement weather
- We are not responsible for weather-related damage during your rental period
- Some items may not be suitable for outdoor use – please ask if unsure
Liability
- Renter assumes full responsibility for items during rental period
- Renter is liable for loss, theft, or damage occurring during rental
- We recommend checking with your venue about their insurance policies
- Jema Backstage is not liable for injuries or damages caused by rental items during your event
Cleanliness Standards
- Items should be returned in the same clean condition as received
- Light cleaning (wiping down, removing decorations) is expected
- Excessive cleaning fees may apply for items returned in poor condition
- Candle wax, adhesive residue, or permanent stains may result in replacement charges
Inventory & Availability
- All inventory is subject to availability at time of pickup
- We reserve the right to substitute similar items if original selections become unavailable
- Inventory numbers are estimates and may vary slightly
Pricing
- All prices are subject to change without notice
- Final pricing will be confirmed in your rental agreement
- Additional fees may apply for extended rentals, excessive damage, or late returns
